About us

The Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC) is a stakeholder representative organisation created for consultation on elements of Union policies which could affect aquaculture. The AAC provides its advice to the European Commissionand the European Union Member States. The AAC is composed of representatives from the industry and other interested stakeholders, with a 60% -40% allocation of the seats in its executive committee. The AAC recommendations are prepared by three working groups - Finfish, Shellfish and Horizontal Issues. The AAC kindly acknowledges EU funding support.
