About us
EATIP is the European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform, a non-profit organisation that groups professional companies in the aquaculture value chain, research institutes and universities, representative organisations and individuals who each have a professional interest in sustainable aquaculture in Europe. Its initial goal is to provide Vision documents, Strategic Research and Innovation Agendas and Action Plans for the 8 Thematic Areas identified as being critical for sustainable aquaculture, which fit into the overarching Vision and Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of EATIP. See www.eatip.eu for further information on its structure and actions.

During the European Bureau for Conservation and Development conference entitled “The Contribution of Fisheries and Aquaculture to Food Security,” which is being conducted under the auspices of the European Economic and Social Committee, #NikosZampoukas from DG RTD referenced OLAMUR. He emphasised the significance of #multiuse applications and #lowimpactaquaculture products, and he associated these topics with ongoing projects that are investigating market opportunities for #lowtrophicaquaculture. It's inspiring to see a growing interest in Mission Ocean projects like OLAMUR, which are making significant strides forward 🌊

A successful week #AQUA24 in Copenhagen! Good to meet up with the extended European Aquaculture Society and World Aquaculture Society network and expand the #aquaculture community to a global level! We were very busy at the EATIP booth sharing insights into the work we do and the support we provide, including the projects we are involved in OLAMUR AQUAEXCEL3.0. Looking forward to following up on connections and opportunities for collaboration!

We invite our Members and Mirror Platforms to next week's AGM. The event will kick off with a fascinating tour of the BIGH Brussels Aquaponic Farm, situated on the roof of the Foodmet building, which is part of the well-known abattoir site in Anderlecht, Brussels. This pilot farm is considered one of the largest in Europe. We also welcome other interested stakeholders to join us at the AGM to learn about our work, the projects we are involved in, and to network and get to know us and our members. Please view event button below for more details and registration.
