Beste collega, Sinds eind december 2024 zijn de drie grote kinderartsverenigingen BVK-SBP, GBPF en VVK gefusioneerd tot de Belgian Academy of Paediatrics (BaoP). Voortaan wordt er één globaal lidmaatschap aangeboden en wordt u lid van een dynamische vereniging die alle universitaire en regionale kinderartsen in België verbindt en ondersteunt. Word nu lid van de BAoP.

Exciting developments from the DeCODe project, of which conect4children Stichting is a partner! A call for assistance is launched to aid paediatric and orphan device developers. DeCODe stands at the forefront of innovation, offering selected candidates the expertise of two dedicated innovation coaches to propel their development endeavors. This opportunity extends to a diverse range of developers, encompassing academics, researchers, startups, industry players, varied organizations, and patient-driven developers. Whether crafting novel devices or tailoring existing solutions for orphan and paediatric populations, DeCODe involvement guarantees comprehensive support throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the triumph of these crucial innovations. Qualifying forms of support include strategic business counsel, funding insights, fostering networks, technical consultations, regulatory navigation, provision of (pre-)clinical testing facilities, and conducting needs assessments. Yesterday, BPCRN President Levi Hoste delivered an insightful presentation at pharma.be’s Forum Clinical Trials, sharing his expertise on the challenges and opportunities of pediatric clinical trials in Belgium and highlighting the way forward in improving the research landscape for our youngest patients. His insights stimulated essential conversations around how we can collaborate to create a more robust and effective (pediatric) clinical trials ecosystem in Belgium.
