👉 Gender equality is a key aspect of inclusion and diversity within the cooperative movement. Cooperatives, by their very nature, strive to empower all members equitably, making gender equality both a goal and a measure of their success. However, embracing these values requires deliberate effort and ongoing commitment. Yesterday we held our last mutual learning session on gender equality. We talked about intersectionality, discussing violence against women with disabilities in Portugal and intersex and migration in The UK. We thank Ana Pouseiro and Sara Gésero Neto from FENACERCI - Federação Nacional das Cooperativas de Solidariedade Social, and Crissy Meleady, CEO of EQUALITIES AND HUMAN RIGHTS UK LIMITED for their eye opening presentations! We also thank Alessia Sebillo from Diesis Network for moderating this discussion!    Thank you to everyone that accompanied us in this journey! 🙏
