PROBA-3 Mission: A Milestone for CSL and Université de Liège PROBA-3, a groundbreaking ESA mission, has been launched on 5 December from India. This innovative mission will feature two mini-satellites flying in formation, enabling the cutting-edge coronagraph ASPIICS to study the solar corona with unparalleled precision. The Centre Spatial de Liège (CSL) led the European consortium responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of ASPIICS. We integrated subsystems provided by partners and performed alignment and qualification testing under space-like conditions. Belgium, through BELSPO - Belgian Science Policy Office, is a major supporter of this European Space Agency - ESA mission. At the CSL, we are proud to contribute to advancing solar science and showcasing European expertise in space technology. Le Centre Spatial de Liège Université de Liège, en cours d'extension, va doubler sa surface et s'équiper pour l'avenir. Une cuve de tests de 7 mètres de diamètre, qui sera l'une des plus grandes au monde, est en cours d'assemblage dans les installations de la société AMOS. https://lnkd.in/ehCfH6ve

Le Centre Spatial de Liège Université de Liège, qui vient de fêter ses 60 ans, a démarré les travaux d'extension de ses infrastructures et de ses capacités de tests. Un investissement de plus de 26 millions d'euros qui renforcera le rôle du CSL dans les futures missions spatiales.
