✨On Monday 18th of November, as part of the #CZEDUCON pre-conference, we organised the 4th round table on the topic of #EuropeanUniversityAlliances! 👉 It gathered representatives of the management of Czech HEIs involved in the supported alliances, as well as representatives of Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, Ministry of Education, Prague, Czech Republic and National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education. 🙌These round tables are mainly a space for sharing experiences among the Czech HEIs involved in this initiative, but it is also an opportunity to discuss current topics related to alliances, such as the #HigherEducationPackage and the #EuropeanDegree/Label. 🍂 This November's roundtable grew bigger and included 3 new HEIs whose alliance was successful in the 2024 call: ✅University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (KreativEU) ✅Mendel University in Brno (HEROES) ✅Tomas Bata University in Zlín (PIONEER) 🙏 Thank you all for your participation and very enriching and interesting discussions! 💥The power of lasers and their transformative potential took centre stage at our final Science Café of 2024.💥 We were happy to welcome Allen Weeks (Director General, ELI - Extreme Light Infrastructure) and Daniele Margarone (Director of Research and Operations), who shared fascinating insights into the groundbreaking work of ELI ERIC, the world's largest and most advanced high-power laser infrastructure. We discussed: 🔸 The potential of laser-driven particle acceleration for more compact and cost-effective solutions. 🔸 Fusion energy research paving the way for sustainable solutions. 🔸 Advances in medical imaging and therapies enabled by ultra-precise laser systems. Our guests also had the opportunity to take a virtual tour through the ELI facilities, offering a hands-on exploration of this cutting-edge infrastructure. We’re proud to close the year with a great discussion and are grateful to all our co-organizers, the Representation of the South Moravian Region to the EU and Prague House Brussels, as well as Hálová Perglová Táňa for moderating the event! 🎉 The 16th edition of V4 Training for Research Project Managers has wrapped up! 🎉 We were thrilled to welcome 35 research project managers from across the V4 countries and institutions throughout Europe 🌍. Over several days, our participants engaged in networking, explored the EU Research & Innovation landscape, discussed best practices, and tackled topics like ERA Policy, Open Science, lump sum funding, and COST. From the Czech side, we were glad to have visitors from HiLASE Centre, CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology VUT, Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Biologické centrum AV ČR, v.v.i., Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry CAS, Research Institute of Geodesy, Topography and Cartography, v.v.i. A big thanks to our co-organizers Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development in Brussels, Polish Science Contact Agency "PolSCA" of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Brussels, and NRDIO - National Research Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH) Brussels Office, for making this possible again! 🙏 📅 Stay tuned for our next edition in 2025!

The pilot edition of the study visit in the field of VET took place on 22-24 October! 🎓 We welcomed 4 colleagues from Czech regions and together we met with representatives of our partner liaison offices and relevant educational associations. There was also a visit to the local technical high school, GO! Victor Hortaschool in Brussels. 🎓🛠️ 🤝 It was three days packed with valuable exchanges of experience and discussions on current challenges in #vocationaleducationandtraining at regional and European level. Among the most important topics discussed were the Centres of Excellence for Vocational Training, but also dual education and the link to the labour market.
