Since 2018, DSCI is an integral part of De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC), bringing extremely professional and valuable detailed engineering for the projects executed by DSEC Group. This Family Day was highly appreciated by all our colleagues and a very nice opportunity to reinforce team spirit and sense of belonging. Congrats for the success of this event !

Great display of fellowship and teamwork during the DHL Ekiden 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 on October the 19 in Brussels. The four teams from De Smet Engineers & Contractors (DSEC), 𝗗𝗦𝗖𝗜 & De Smet Agro run together in multiple categories; company colleagues and families joyfully supported them. Congratulations to all participants! 🏅🏃🏻🏃💪 For this 𝗘𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 4 teams of 6 runners (from 𝗗𝗦𝗔𝗚, 𝗗𝗦𝗖𝗜 and 𝗗𝗦𝗘𝗖) were on the starting blocks, cheered by our enthusiastic supporters and leaders, all set to complete the marathon distance! 🔥🎉 The event unfolded in a lively atmosphere, ending in a well-deserved dinner, we had a fantastic day 😊 “Every year, about a thousand teams go to the King Baudouin Stadium for the DHL Ekiden ✔Ekiden teams consist of six runners, who together cover the marathon distance of 42.195 km. The first, third and fifth runner each cover 5 km, the second and fourth runner 10 km and the final runner covers the remaining 7.195 km. Each runner runs a lap on the magical track of the King Baudouin Stadium. ✔The relays are not made with a baton, but with a special ribbon. This so-called ‘tasuki’ hangs – for those who want to do it according to the rules of the art – from the shoulder, diagonally across the chest, to the hip. ✔The Ekiden is always an exciting race, as the team’s success depends on each of the six runners. Everyone in the team therefore has an important function.
