We bring together various EU funded projects that research on innovations in electric vehicle transportation. The vision of this virtual Cluster is to realize and monitor synergies between all members and to execute joint dissemination, exploitation and standardization activities. CONFERENCE ON RESULTS FROM ROAD TRANSPORT RESEARCH - #RTR2025 RTR has become a fixed milestone in my yearly calendar—whether it’s presenting a project, like last year with HighScape, or engaging with the community, as I did this year. The session “Innovative Components for More Efficient EVs” was a great opportunity to explore synergies between EM-TECH and its sister projects, particularly on circularity and digital twin technologies. These discussions will continue within the E-VOLVE Cluster “Industrialization and Exploitation” working group, and I’m excited to see where they lead! Beyond that, #RTR2025 was also the perfect place to promote the SmartCorners Stakeholder Engagement Questionnaire and to connect, through CODE4EV, with the coordinator of the TwinLoop Project. Two intense but rewarding days! It’s always inspiring to see this community’s flexibility, dynamism, and innovation. Thanks to everyone for the insightful exchanges—just as I often forget to take pictures for my own posts (thanks to the organizers for providing them!!), I won’t start tagging everyone here. This morning, in the #RTR2025 Conference, several #2Zero projects presented their results in the two sessions dedicated to innovative components for more efficient #EVs. Our pillar 1 co-leader, Damian Backes from Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) co-moderated the sessions with Joao Duarte CARRILHO from CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. The topic to which #EM_Tech, #MAXIMA, #HEFT, Voltcar Project and CliMAFlux - Horizon Europe Project replied was challenging: improving #efficiency, reducing the use of permanent magnets and critical #raw #materials, and ensuring #recyclability while reducing costs. Individually, these targets might seem (relatively) easy to achieve, but the real challenge is to achieve all of them in a single project; and it looks like our 2Zero projects are on the right tracks! The second session moved on with presentation of projects addressing improvement in power-electronic with the 2Zero project #SCAPE and the only project form the Chips JU presenting in the RTR Conference this year, HiEFFICIENT. HiEfficient developed a 650V system on a #chip half bridge: a first of its kind worldwide 👏 .

Through this survey, we aim to gather valuable insights from stakeholders to better understand the challenges, opportunities, and expectations for implementing advanced vehicle technologies like SmartCorners.
