🚀 Today, February 26th, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of 13 #VET #stakeholders from Italy to the EfVET Headquarters in Brussels. This visit was organized by our member, Scuola Centrale Formazione, a non-profit organization officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Labour as a National Training Association. The event was coordinated by Rita Festi, Project Manager at Scuola Centrale Formazione. 🌟 The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase EfVET, our extensive #network, and the key activities we are engaged in. During the visit, EfVET President, Prof. Joachim James Calleja, led an insightful online session that included a presentation followed by a dynamic Q&A. 📣 The 19th of February, EfVET hosted a masterclass of the Tourism Thematic Team titled "Destination Branding Through Digital Storytelling”, presented by Nermina Segalo, an English Language School (ELS) teacher and Professional Development Coordinator at the International University of Sarajevo. ---  ➡️ Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dHbv_tFV  --- 🌟 The goal of the masterclass was to discover and get familiar with tools related to #destination #branding through digital #storytelling.  In the masterclass, Nermina Segalo explained that Destination Branding involves identifying the destination’s strongest and most competitively appealing #assets in the eyes of its prospective visitors.     🔑 The key objectives of the masterclass were:  ➡️ To understand the role of digital storytelling in #tourism branding.  ➡️ To be introduced to practical methods for implementing digital storytelling.    📢 As a result of the masterclass, participants were able to:  📍 Explain the importance of destination branding and its influence on tourism.  📍 Identify the key elements that make digital storytelling effective in the tourism industry.  📍 Utilize digital storytelling tools to craft engaging narratives for tourism.  📍 Apply storytelling techniques to create compelling content that attracts and informs potential visitors.    🌐 To conclude the masterclass, participants engaged in a hands-on activity where they worked on a #storyboarding exercise. They were tasked with pre-production planning for a selected destination, focusing on aspects like the theme, target audience and the research conducted. 📣 EfVET participated in the Cedefop seminar “making learning progression a reality”, in which they presented the key findings of its projects Ensuring transparency and transferability of learning outcomes, including alternative policy scenarios for lifelong and life-wide learning towards 2040. 🔎 During the event, 5 different policy scenarios for lifelong learning were proposed by Cedefop based on the PERMEABILITY (low/high) and FLEXIBILITY (low/high) of the systems and their potential implications for key stakeholders, including learners, education and training providers, and policymakers. ---  ➡️ Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dju2Td-k --- 🖊️ The seminar opened with the welcome of George Kostakis, Coordinator of the Department of VET and Qualifications (DVQ) at Cedefop. Juergen Siebel, Executive Director of Cedefop, then provided an overview of the organization’s work, mapping significant European policies on VET and analyzing their outcomes. 🌐 The first opening session looked at past developments in the transparency of education systems and qualifications. In this session, Loukas Zahilas, Head of DVQ in Cedefop made some key remarks regarding the history of VET in the European Union. 🔑 The second session focused on the main findings of Cedefop’s project, which analyzed transparency and transferability of learning outcomes over the past 20 years and explored potential policy scenarios for 2040:  📌 Zelda Azzarà (Cedefop) introduced the project, outlining its four-part methodology.  📌 Vasileios Symeonidis, (Cedefop), discussed mapping key policy initiatives to enhance transparency and transferability.  📌 Giorgia Iacopini (The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations), presented future policy scenarios for lifelong learning towards 2040. 📢 A workshop was held where participants and listeners discussed possible future scenarios for progression learning, where EfVET participated too. Lastly, experts addressed the key question, “Towards 2040: what is needed to promote flexible and permeable learning systems?”:  📍 Jens Bjørnåvold (University of Agder (UiA) emphasized the importance of researching the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives.  📍 Koen Nomden (European Commission) addressed the need for more transparency in the EQF.  📍 Horacy Dębowski, PhD (Central Examination Board) highlighted the progress in learning outcomes.  📍 Agnes Roman (European Trade Union Confederation) pointed out that social partners, like trade unions, are crucial for improving qualifications recognition.  📍 Dr. C. Martin G. 📣 20th of January – Today, we celebrate the World Day of Social Justice, an annual milestone for EfVET mission: recognizing the need to promote #social #justice, which includes efforts to tackle issues such as #poverty, exclusion, #GenderInequality, unemployment, #HumanRights, and social protections. 📌 This year’s theme, “Empowering Inclusion: Bridging Gaps for Social Justice”, highlights the significance of #inclusive #policies and #social #protection in managing systematic inequality. 🔎 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/guUPzpa === 📒 As we celebrate this day, it’s important to face the key challenge of defending VET as an educational pathway to avoid #inequality and promote #SocialJustice. To this extent, EfVET, alongside many other #VET organizations, is working on developing effective #strategies that form students in an appropriate way, focusing on developing inclusive policies. ⏩ This desire was reflected also in the recent event that EfVET attended, the "Speak&Act" project, part of the #Erasmus+ initiative, focused on integrating Public Speaking (PS) as a methodology for #teaching and #learning Citizenship #Education in secondary schools. 📒 A group of Italian students, Diego Castrucci, Alessandra Scaccitella and Alessandro di Micco, from Liceo Scientifico Galilei Perugia, delivered inspiring TED Talks addressing various needs related to the Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs). 🌐 Brussels, 18th Feb. 2025 - The future of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs in the hands of their stakeholders. 🔎 The conference brought together more than 200 experts, including practitioners, policymakers and researchers, many from the VET ecosystem. ---  💡 More info on our Report here: https://lnkd.in/dd8m6eiY  --- 🎙️ During the conference, EfVET advocated for a stronger Erasmus+ program, and in particular a stronger role for VET actors. But how to consolidate this strength?
