Stronger together, from Tallinn to Lisbon, from Valletta to Stockholm, from Dublin to Nicosia! 2️⃣0️⃣ 🇪🇺 Last week, the 22nd annual ReferNet plenary meeting took place at Cedefop's premises in Thessaloniki, Greece 🇬🇷. 🎉 This was a great opportunity to mark the 20th anniversary of the "Big Bang" enlargement of the EU in 2004, and to reflect on the years since those countries, but also Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia, joined the Union. The meeting was filled with inspiring discussions on the: ▶️future of vocational education and training (#VET); ▶️policy developments on VET, #skills, and #qualifications; ▶️outcomes of work done so far and results achieved; ▶️collaboration and partnership. Also, newcomers were welcomed, and ReferNet's future work got a strong impulse. 🙏A huge thank you to all of our #ReferNet partners and their hard work on #VET! #Cedefop50

You can find the database here: https://lnkd.in/dMBpyAq2 🇨🇿 All VET programmes in Czechia provide not only occupation-specific #training, but also general subjects such as maths or languages. 🇩🇰 In Denmark, #continuingVET for adults aged 25+ is part of the formal education system, which is not the case in most other EU countries. 🇬🇷 In 2022, Greece introduced new vocational training schools focused on #highdemandprofessions. These programmes allow graduates of compulsory education to gain job-specific skills and earn their first #VETqualification within two years. 🇷🇴 In Romania, the #dualVET system extends beyond secondary education (such as high school) into tertiary levels (higher education), integrating hands-on training with higher education pathways. 🇸🇰 In Slovakia, over 77% of VET graduates were enrolled in programmes offering direct pathways to higher education. #VETinEurope #Cedefop50
