Did you know that EMCC Global funds individual research projects that address complex challenges? One such project - that is also looking for coachees to take part - is looking to determine the extent to which AI-supported technology positively influences coaching readiness among individuals. The 'AI-Supported Coaching Readiness Project' explores how AI can enhance the degree to which an individual is prepared, willing, and able to engage effectively in coaching. It's said that the more a coachee is ready for coaching, the more optimal the time needed for individual transformation. In turn, this could increase financial accessibility, benefiting individuals and allowing companies to allocate reduced per-employee coaching budgets. The overarching goal of the project is to investigate the use of AI-supported technology in making coaching services more widely available. Project manager Dr. Fahri Akdemir, assistant professor at RISEBA University of Business, Arts and Technology in Latvia is working in collaboration with project co-ordinator Ozlem Sarioglu, MTP, PCC - who is also our EMCC Global lead for our AI & Digital Centre for Excellence. Conversations around the use of AI in coaching and mentoring continue to gather momentum. Those identifying benefits cite its potential for scalability, accessibility, personalised learning paths and consistent process management. Those pointing out its challenges refer to a lack of empathy, emotional intelligence and contextual understanding. 💡💡💡Would you like to take part as a coachee? The research will follow the journeys of 80 participants who themselves have had between two and seven years' of leadership experience. Organisations can nominate between 5 and 10 leaders who are in the early stages of their leadership journey. Each participant will have three coaching sessions - with the cohort divided between traditional and digital coaching, all provided by Ozlem's company Sparkus. A focus group and surveys will add information to the reseachers, who will then assess the experiences of each cohort and prepare a final report and literature review. More details and a link to apply: https://vist.ly/3mv7t7s Also, head over to that link about to read the preliminary insights from Fahri's literature review: 📕Transformative Potential of AI in Coaching 📕Enhancing Coaching Readiness  📕Financial Accessibility and Scalability  📕Limitations of AI in Coaching  📕Ethical and Practical Challenges  📕Hybrid Approach: Human-AI Collaboration  📕Future Directions What are your thoughts on coaching readiness and the role of AI? Your EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) shows the world that your professional practice is aligned with international standards of excellence. It shows you have the education, learning and experience that sets you apart as a professional coach or mentor, and that you operate within a Global Code of Ethics and are committed to Continuous Personal and Professional Development. Applying for the accreditation is simple but we know for lots of people, the matter of applying for the accreditation is something that gets put on the 'to do' pile. And it could be for any number of reasons - perhaps you cannot find the time, perhaps you are stuck on a questions, perhaps you're not sure if your experience or learning 'counts'. Whatever it is, the EMCC Global Five Day Challenge (5DC) could be just what you need. For an hour a day over a week, you'll be placed in a small cohort group led by one of our volunteer facilitators as you work through what you need and help each other on the way. By the end of the week, you should be in a position to press 'send' on your application, having had five hours of mentorship and support and professional dialogue. Our next 5DC is in March 2025. Too soon? See the future dates below too. 🌞EMCC Global Class of March 2025: 3-7 March 5.30-6.30pm UK time 🌞EMCC Global Class of June 2025: 9-13 June 5.30-6.30pm UK time 🌞EMCC Global Class of Sept 2025: 8-12 Sept 5.30-6.30pm UK time Apply here: www.emccglobal.org/5dc Taking part in the 5DC is free for members. It's not a training course, it's for people who already have the learning and experience but who just need help for that final push. EMCC Global recognises all past learning, irrespective of provider or other accrediting body. The 5DC is for people applying for: 🌞Foundation Level: one year's experience, 50 coaching/mentoring hours and 5 clients 🌞Practitioner Level: three years' experience, 100 coaching/mentoring hours and 10 clients 🌞Senior Practitioner Level: give years' experience, 250 coaching/mentoring hours and 20 clients (We have a Master Practitioner accreditation, which reflects the individual's contribution to the profession, but this level is out of scope for the 5DC) Hope to see you in March. We are passionately shaping the future of mentoring with EMCC Global At the EMCC Global Mentoring Centre for Excellence (CfE), we are committed to advancing mentoring as a catalyst for the continuous growth of mentees, mentors, and organisations. 💬 I am Rossella Pin - Coach Mentor Supervisor - ICF MCC, EMCC EIA SP, EMCC ESIA, the Lead of the Mentoring CfE, and it is my pleasure to present our key initiatives for 2025: ✅ Mentoring Competencies – We are enhancing mentoring capabilities by defining and refining the distinctive competencies of mentors aligned with the four levels of EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA). ✅ Mentoring Conference – We are designing a must-attend live event where mentoring professionals will connect and shape the future of mentoring through knowledge-sharing, research, and innovation. This will be preceded by quarterly exclusive interviews featuring leading mentors who are making a significant impact. ✅ Mentoring Community – We are mapping mentoring expertise across regions to build a dynamic, supportive network where professional mentors, programme managers, and stakeholders can exchange experiences, develop best practices, and advocate for mentoring worldwide. The Mentoring CfE is powered by incredible mentoring experts and passionate volunteers. I have the honour to collaborate with three senior members of the CfE Team, who you may read more about in the attachment: 🎤 Florentina Soare, Project Lead for Mentoring Competencies 🎤 Kristin Daidola Castberg, Project Lead for the Mentoring Conference 🎤 Alina Avarvarei, Project Lead for the Mentoring Community Mentoring is more than a set of skills; it is a movement of generous individuals who share their knowledge, embody EMCC Global values, and act as role models. The Mentoring Centre for Excellence is committed to shining a light on mentors and their contributions, ensuring they are recognised, valued, and elevated within the professional community. 💬 So let me end this post by sharing what motivated me to take on the role of Lead of the Centre for Excellence. It is my way of giving back the precious gift I received from my mentor and great mentoring expert, Rita Knott. She introduced me to EMCC and invited me to contribute to the foundation of EMCC Italia, opening the door to a world of meaningful mentoring connections. This role allows me to continue that journey by supporting and growing the mentoring community. Which of the three initiatives are you most interested in learning more about? • In partnership with the EMCC Global Centre for Excellence in Climate Action and Sustainability, the My New Good Life programme is back and for another two cohorts. My New Good Life serves to enhance coaches' preparedness to tackle emerging challenges, with participants engaged in a programme of six weekly workshops and resources running from March to May. We have set up information sessions on Monday 17 and Friday 21 February for those who would wish to join us and who would like to find out more. Participation is free for members but places are limited. https://vist.ly/3muv9mu 🌞🌞🌞🌞Programme aims Over the past decade, the world has faced a series of challenges, ranging from financial and economic crises, migration, Covid-19, war and the growing environmental crisis. As a coach, you may have noticed a growing sense of anxiety, either in yourself or in your clients. EMCC Global research indicates that many coaches do not feel well prepared to tackle these issues, and feedback suggests that a number of coaches are seeking a guided reflection process to support them in their coaching practice. The My New Good Life learning journey has been designed to address this need and provide resources that can be used in your coaching practice.

As the MOZAIC team at EMCC Romania celebrate achieving the highest Gold level in our International Standards in Mentoring and Coaching Programmes (ISMCP) accreditation, we take a look back at the journey. Last year, we were pleased to host the team in our EMCC Global GPS Dialogue series, in which they described the impact of the reciprocal mentoring programme, how the participants were matched automatically according to skill and objective, and how participants were valuing the process. Fast forward 12 months and the team is now on the third cohort, having already seen 135 people completing the programme and opening it up to EMCC members globally for a third cohort and beyond. The EMCC Global Mentoring Conference held last year in Bucharest also saw many participants joining international peers and served as a reminder of the power of the programme and its impact. MOZAIC is sponsored by EMCC Romania President Vlad Dutescu and co-ordinated by Alina Avarvarei. Adriana Vasilache and Florin Lohan are platform manager and platform technical lead respectively. Active team members are Gabriela-Elena Dura, Celine Mircea, Alexandra Dolea, PhD, Alina Mărgineanu, Dana Ghiban and Ana M. Marin DTM, EMCC SP, ICF PCC. Vlad said: “When we began designing MOZAIC in May 2023, our mission was clear: to create an extraordinary learning and practice experience that would have a lasting impact, challenging perceptions of professional mentoring versus coaching and informal mentoring. Beyond that, we aimed to elevate the value of structured mentoring programmes and contribute to our organizational development. “Throughout this journey, ISMCP standards served as our North Star, guiding us through challenges, refining our decisions, and helping us align our purpose with the real needs of our stakeholders. Dr. Julie Haddock-Millar, EMCC Global’s lead for the ISMCP accreditation, said: “Congratulations to all involved, overall, the MOZAIC programme provides a unique offer for accredited mentors and coaches to continue to develop their knowledge and practice, for supervisors to continue to develop their knowledge and practice and for those interested in developing as a coach and mentor to engage in a clear pathway to accreditation.” Watch>> https://vist.ly/3muqkwb Read more about the accreditation award>> https://vist.ly/3muqkw8 Denise Whitworth Dr Chandana Sanyal Dr. Riza KADILAR Nicola Brown Chart.PR MCIPR

EMCC Romania is proud to announce that the reciprocal #mentoring programme MOZAIC has received EMCC Global accreditation with the highest distinction awarded to mentoring programs when it comes to quality standards: GOLD. In order for the MOZAIC Programme to receive EMCC Global ISMCP GOLD the project team has worked for the last 18 months, facilitating, modeling, supervising and implementing continuously to provide for our local and international EMCC Romania’s members with a peer mentoring experience, reflective practice and supervision of the highest quality. Such accreditation provides both a mark of quality and credibility to a program - and we are extremely proud of what we have succeeded to create for our members and partners. The framework in which the program is built and implemented ensures alignment of the goals between our members and our organization - and it was made under the umbrella of EMCC Global Standards and the Global Code of Ethics. For #EMCCRomania members, the program offers the opportunity to develop their mentoring, reflection and supervision capabilities in an organized, reciprocal setting - according to the professional competencies of the organization. Congratulations to the project’s team, but also to the volunteers who in the last year chose to be part of MOZAIC as part of their professional development with EMCC Romania. Here is the team that made this possible: Vlad Dutescu, Alina Avarvarei, Calina Mircea, Adriana Vasilache, Florin Lohan, Gabriela-Elena Dura, Alexandra Dolea, PhD, Ana M. What is your attitude to climate events? We invite you to take part in a survey to explore how this affects your coaching practice. Climate events are impacting the planet with a greater frequency and ferocity than we have known in recent human history, and the cause is discussed, debated and denied by different groups. EMCC Global is supporting a new research study led by Professor Jonathan Passmore, Henley Business School, to explore coach attitudes to climate events and what or how coaches and professional bodies might react. 💬Rita Symons, Head of EMCC Global Centre for Climate Action and Sustainability said: “Acknowledging this is a rapidly moving area, delighted to see this current research being undertaken and looking forward to seeing the outcomes. In EMCC Global, we completed research with our members four years, ago in a joint project between the Centre for Excellence for Climate Action and Sustainability and Centre for Excellence for Research, This new survey will strengthen our evidence base.” 👉Download 2023 research report: The role and boundaries of coaching for climate action: https://vist.ly/3mumgtv 💬Alison Mitchell, Head of EMCC Global Centre of Excellence for Research, said: “We know little about climate events affect our practice and how our attitudes as coaches compare with the wider population. We welcome another collaboration with Professor Passmore to provide research- based evidence on this important topic, having worked collaboratively with Jonathan on biannual surveys to understand current issues facing coaches globally.” EMCC Global prioritises evidence-based practice, but this only emerges when we as professionals commit the time to engage in research. Therefore, please do support this research study. The survey asks about coaching practitioners' attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions regarding climate change, its causes, consequences, and the role of coaching in addressing this global issue. It takes about 6 minutes to complete and there are opportunities to add your thoughts. 👉Respond to the survey: https://vist.ly/3mumgtr The study has received ethical approval from Henley Business School and the results will be shared at a future EMCC Global event. Individuals can contact Jonathan directly to find out more about the survey and for the research results. ⏰⏰⏰Reminder: Rita Symons, lead for EMCC Global’s Climate Action & Sustainability Centre for Excellence, and Araceli Canedo Bebbington, our VP of Thought Leadership, invite you to an event on Wednesday 19 February 12noon-1.30pm UTC to discuss updates from the CfE and future plans. 👉Register here: https://vist.ly/3mumgty

How do you build your unique coaching personal brand? As much as we focus on the skills and experience needed to develop ourselves as mentors, coaches, supervisors and leaders - we also need to look at how our clients and organisations choose us to help them. One way is personal branding; intentionally developing and promoting your public image, story, and position in your community. It's a way to showcase your skills, values, and experiences to build trust and credibility with your target audience. We ran an EMCC Global GPS Dialogue on this last year with Ebru Goksu Yildirim - ICF MCC, EMCC ESIA and CSA Coach Supervisor, a marketing and communications expert and EMCC Global-accredited practitioner from Unlocked Potentials. Let us share a link to the recording for your Sunday viewing: https://vist.ly/3muj88h How do you use your 'personal brand'? And has it helped you develop your niche? Let us know in the comments.
