📣 Yesterday, we officially launched 𝐃𝐒𝐎𝟒𝐃𝐓, the #HorizonEurope project dedicated to advancing Digital Twin innovation! This project is funded by the European Commission. The kick-off webinar gave a glimpse of the project's vision and objectives🎯. The responsible for the project at the Secretairat is Stephan Gross, TF DESAP Senior Coordinator, who presented the most technical and methodological aspects of the projects while Mugur George PAUNESCU, Policy Officer at European Commission, highlighted the importance of Digital Twins in the context of the #DSO4DT project.  🚀 The webinar marked the beginning of a new collaborative journey to share best practices, foster innovation and accelerate #DigitalTwin development in the energy sector.  👏 Thank you Stephan Gross and Mugur George PAUNESCU for the insights! They will outline the 2025 Technopedia implementation plan, key milestones, and guidelines for stakeholder participation. 🤔 What's Technopedia? The creation of the TSO/DSO Technopedia is part of the tasks outlined in Point 7 of the Action Plan for EU Grids, published by the European Commission in November 2023. 📆 Last Thursday our Secretary General Peter Vermaat joined the Stakeholders meeting chaired by Dan Jørgensen, Commissioner for Energy and Housing, in the framework of the elaboration of the Action Plan for Affordable Energy.    The meeting was an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss possible measures that can be implemented in the short run to bring down energy costs 📉 in the EU to support #competitiveness 🇪🇺    🗣️ After the introduction of all participants who joined the roundtable, Peter Vermaat illustrates how DSOs are in action mode to accelerate the #energytransition, with a clear focus on enabling #consumers to participate and keeping the grid reliable and affordable.   💡 Another important topic he emphasised was the adoption of DSOs to intelligently use the grid to its full potential while investing in #GridSmartening and expansion.     For efficient #investments 📈 , DSOs need a stable and forward-looking regulatory framework. 🔔 Our 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 is online! The document lays out the mandated tasks and planned activities for the year ahead.  🇪🇺 With the new EU legislative term and the new priorities shaped by the European Commission and the influence of Draghi’s report, we are entering an era of transformation for #EnergyGrids across Europe.  In the next twelve months, our work will focus on three broad projects started in 2024:    ⚡ Moving towards the integration of #gas and #hydrogen DSOs into DSO Entity ⚡ Delivering and monitoring of the remaining tasks of the #GridActionPlan and the monitoring of relevant workstreams   ⚡ Dissemination of DSO Entity’s Technical Vision of the energy system as part of the #KnowledgeSharing Strategy.
