✍ A great article on tenant satisfaction by Steve Stride from one of our UK member organisations, Poplar HARCA. "It’s easy to talk about being ‘community-driven’, but what does it mean in practice? For Poplar HARCA it’s a commitment to listen, learn and act based on the lived experience of the people who call Poplar and Bow home. This understanding is not abstract. It’s a daily, on-the-ground connection, made possible by three core elements..." We were so inspired when we visited Poplar HARCA last year for our Leadership Summit, where improving tenant satisfaction was one of the key discussion topics. It is so valuable to learn from our colleagues in different countries, exchange experiences, and share knowledge.
Steve Stride, our CEO, shares in a new comment piece for Inside Housing how a hyperlocal understanding of our community is why we’ve achieved high year one tenant satisfaction measure scores. #UKhousing #community #TSMs #local #socialhousing Read the full article below or view it here👉https://bit.ly/4aolmjD

The European Responsible #Housing Awards exist because of all the inspiring people and organisations that are going that extra mile in creating homes, from laying a foundation to ensuring everyone feels welcomed in the building.🏡 We also want to take a moment and acknowledge that all the work behind the Awards would be much more difficult without the support of sponsors and partners. This is why we want to say a big 'thank you' to CEB - Council of Europe Development Bank for trusting us and supporting the mission of celebrating empowering examples from all over Europe.🤩 Take a moment to explore the remarkable panel of jurors for the 2025 edition! This diverse group includes tenants' representatives, housing researchers, and forward-thinking policymakers. Their collective expertise and unique perspectives will guarantee a vibrant and fair competition that celebrates #innovation and #inclusivity🧑⚖️ Does that resonate with your organisation and the projects you carry out? Then you have until the 19th of January to apply and share that with us!🏆 Read more about the Awards and join us➡️https://lnkd.in/ddKD8AkF #ResponsibleHousing2025 International Union of Tenants (IUT), DELPHIS

As we approach the end of the year, we checked in with our Director General Alessandro Cesale. Alessandro looks back over our network’s achievements in 2024 and gives us a sneak peek of the plans for 2025! 👏 "Thank you to all our members for your enthusiasm and dedication in 2024! Eurhonet’s success lies in the active participation of our members. Your engagement, contributions, and willingness to share best practices are what make our network a thriving and impactful community. One of our biggest achievements in 2024 was the launch of the Early Careers Programme, which strengthens our offering to members. I’d also like to highlight the great number of participants and high engagement at our Topic Group meetings. Sharing what we do well and developing Eurhonet as a strong community are among our goals, so this is a positive indicator of our work over the last years. 🗓️ Our planning for 2025 is going excellently! Nearly the entire calendar has already been finalised for the year. (Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gXTUUmhF) We believe there is something for everyone at Eurhonet, no matter your role or the stage of your career. Learn how to build future social housing with wood 🪵 Public, cooperative, and social housing providers have the opportunity to explore how to incorporate more wood into construction through an upcoming workshop hosted by the Slovenian University of Primorska. This event, part of our EU-funded LIFE Be-WoodEN project, will take place from February 17-19, 2025, in Izola, 🇸🇮 Slovenia. The workshop will cover topics such as the impact of water on wood properties and how environmental stresses affect timber. You will also learn about both destructive and non-destructive testing techniques, which are vital in preserving architectural heritage. Attendees will visit InnoRenew’s cutting-edge labs and research hub, dedicated to sustainable building and wood performance. You will also join a study tour to the latest in cross laminated timber panel production and quality assurance processes. There is a catch. 😉 You have to first attend three preparatory webinars and complete a brief questionnaire. Selections will be made in January 2025. Some travel 🚆 and accommodation 🛌 costs will be covered. For full details and registration, take a look at the BE-WoodEN Workshop Programme - https://lnkd.in/e6i6UWZA
