Another milestone for EACH as we wrap up our highly anticipated 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! Yesterday, we came together to celebrate and empower women in the clearing industry. The event served as great source of inspiration and sparked interesting discussions on how to better support the advancement of women into leadership positions. While significant progress has been made, there is still more we can achieve to foster inclusivity and diversity in the future. 📢 EACH Publishes its Manifesto: Keys for Efficient and Resilient Capital Markets On 2nd December, EACH published its Manifesto, outlining a vision for a robust, efficient, and transparent financial ecosystem. We are excited to see the progress towards a shorter settlement cycle as ESMA publishes its report on T+1 for the EU. EACH is committed to supporting safe and efficient markets, and helping to ensure a smooth transition. With a go-live date around October 2027 (ESMA suggest 11th October), we eagerly await the European Commission's next steps to provide legal certainty and the framework needed for a successful transition. In addition, close coordination with the UK and Switzerland is also key to ensure a harmonised move for Europe. We are pleased to share that the European T+1 Industry Task Force (EUT1-ITF) has today published a report outlining its preliminary analysis on the regulatory, technical, and operational changes required to facilitate a successful transition to T+1 in EU securities markets. EACH has actively contributed to the work of the ITF together alongside its other members, including by chairing the clearing sub-WG. And what next? We look forward to reading ESMA's report on T+1 later this year, and hope this report is useful in the discussions still to come across the EU, UK and CH.
