ECTP - European Construction and sustainable built environment Technology Platform

This week, representatives of the 30 projects funded as part of a #Built4People Co-programmed Public-Private Partnership gathered at CINEA in Belgium, for a special clustering event organised by #NebulaB4P. The funding for these projects sits under the “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use” part of the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for Climate, Energy and Mobility. At the event, welcome and introductions were given by Matthias Langemeyer, CINEA, and Mathieu Daloze, DG ENER, followed by an overview of Built4People Partnership and Innovation Clusters (B4PICs) led by ECTP - European Construction and sustainable built environment Technology Platform and World Green Building Council. Attendees then took part in breakout sessions on the following topics: 🔷 Digital solutions for building operations 🔷 Inclusive and resilient environments 🔷 Renovation for low-emission buildings Following the breakout sessions, an open forum discussion was held, alongside a round table session focusing on key takeaways from the breakout sessions, led by Eleftherios Bourdakis, Ines Diaz Regodon and Pau Rey Garcia, CINEA. The STAR*track consortium gathered in Athens, Greece, this week for the project's second General Assembly.   With project partners attending from across the #Built4People Network, the agenda included dynamic presentations and discussions on the following topics:   ▪️ Project progress ▪️ Built4People Innovation Clusters (B4PICs) ▪️ The METABUILDING Platform ▪️ Upcoming project activities   The network also gathered for a conference hosted by ECODOMH and MIRTEC SA. 📝 #IWG5Buildings has published a new white paper on Clean Heating & Cooling Technologies and Thermal Energy Storage for Buildings. This white paper aims to advance heat pumps, solar thermal energy technologies, thermal storage, micro-cogeneration, and district heating and cooling. It supports upscaling of the TRL of the above-mentioned technologies, demonstrating them in real environments and bringing them to the market. It also shows how to achieve this purpose and detect the main hurdles, providing smart targets and actionable strategies and initiatives to face them.
