⭕ EMMA leads call for changes to withholding tax to reduce barriers for touring artists! Today EMMA launches a campaign for a new European vision for touring that reduces the time-consuming and costly barriers for touring artists produced by withholding taxes. Highlighting that US artists benefit from generous exemptions when touring Europe, creating an unfair playing field. With a letter addressed to the 🇪🇺 European Parliament we ask MEP's and the European Commission to support changes to the system to nurture a more competitive and harmonised European music ecosystem. This call is co-signed by IAO Music, IMPALA Independent Music Companies Association, FIM, EMEE - European Music Exporters Exchange , Live DMA and Liveurope.
