"Students are not good at recognizing, assessing their own skills and at demonstrating them to potential employers. Companies remain largely unaware of the skills which students can develop as officers in their student associations and are missing an opportunity." Students often struggle to effectively communicate their skills to potential employers, particularly those developed through extracurricular activities, such as being part of a student organisation. While these experiences lead to the development of valuable interpersonal skills, such as leadership and teamwork, companies may not be aware of them. Bridging this communication gap requires better alignment and communication between how students present their capabilities and how companies assess them. If you want to contribute to a better skills communication between young talents and companies, please fill out the survey: - Industry Ambassadors: https://lnkd.in/gt2mN5E3 - Student Ambassadors: https://lnkd.in/gkmFPiSJ The fourth annual Future Leaders Dialogue Survey is out! The Future Leaders Dialogue initiative is led by a consortium of EIIL industry members, represented by their Alumni (Air Liquide, Covestro, LyondellBasell, McDermott International, Ltd, Worley) and European Student Organisations (Board of European Students of Technology, ESTIEM, European Young Chemists' Network (EYCN), European Young Engineers (EYE), EUROAVIA). How can companies and students better communicate about skills developed in student organizations and better understand each other?
