Innovating Overhead Line Inspections with Drones Today, GEOxyz had the privilege of participating in an inspiring technical exhibition hosted by Elia Group, bringing together European TSOs and industry experts to exchange knowledge on Overhead Line Inspections via drones. Being a survey company, we recognize that the evolution of solutions for acquiring detailed offshore and onshore data is accelerating. While efficiently gathering data remains our focus, we are continuously exploring innovative ways to activate and maximize the use of already captured survey data. During the exhibition, we presented a compelling use case showcasing how Plan3D by Vansteelandt can harness survey data of Belgium's powerline network and feed this into Axpo Group's #Linia flight software which then allows to create automated flight plans for detailed pylon inspections; a game-changer in efficiency and precision.
