👏 Great to see so many of our #EU #HorizonEU funded R&I project clusters and partners at Battery Innovation Days #BID2024 in #Barcelona this week - impressive results and progress so far on developing next generation battery systems. 🔋 ♻️ #BatteryHeroes EU-INGENIOuS and Collabat - Cluster of H2020 Battery Projects each bring together several ##HorizonEU #transport #H2020transport projects to work towards a common goal - 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴, in everything from materials to smarter recycling. 🤝The event proved an excellent opportunity to hear the latest policy insights and share visions on how to tackle the big questions about the future of batteries. 💡 Ever wonder why EU-funded #HorizonEurope project clusters are so valuable? Many Horizon Europe projects team up with their sister projects—often from the same Call or sharing similar topics—to form clusters. These clusters create opportunities for #collaboration, such as organizing joint events, preparing white papers or reports, and ensuring a united presence at events like i.e. today at the Battery Innovation Days in Barcelona. 🇪🇸 But why does this matter? Or in #Europeanfunding speech: where's the #impact? Let us share the #Batteryheroes story: We started off as a group of communication and project managers, coming together to coordinate outreach activities and exchange experiences in project management. Over time, this grew into a solid, trust-based collaboration with a friendly and enriching work culture. Building on this foundation, GIGAGREEN project coordinator Silvia Bodoardo and GigaGreen Life Cycle Assessment (#LCA) expert Emanuel Lourenço expanded the effort by engaging sustainability experts within the #BatteryHeroes projects to align LCA activities across all projects. This alignment enables us to tackle shared challenges like i.e. data availability. While we are here networking in sunny Barcelona, NoVOC LCA expert Emanuel Bengtsson, who is also involved in the Battery heroes projects BatWoMan and GIGABAT project, is presenting the first approaches to a joint LCA approach at the IBPC Braunschweig conference. And today here in Barcelona, Emanuel Lourenço joined us at the Battery Heroes booth to meet with Michal KLIMA, Head of Sector for Clean Road Transport at CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, to discuss how aligning sustainability activities within the cluster has the potential to strengthen our collective impact.
