🌍 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚🌍   Earlier this week, more than a dozen African leaders arrived in Dar es Salaam for the #Mission300Summit with only goal in mind: to discuss how to extend electricity access⚡to 300 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚.   At Hydrobox, our short-term contribution to this goal is emPOWERing 💡1 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 with clean, reliable energy by 2027. And we’re ready to do much more if #Mission300 can unlock the necessary capital. Expanding electricity access takes time, investment, and collective effort 🤝  That’s why we’re so grateful to our partners, investors, and team for supporting us in our mission to bring sustainable energy to communities across Africa. 🌿 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠’𝐚 Last Friday, we had some visitors over from Europe and took them on a field trip to our Murang’a operations. For those who haven’t had the chance to visit us, we’re happy to share some pictures with you! We were grateful to be welcomed in the house of 𝐌𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, who showed us how he is using a chaff cutter🌾powered by our electricity⚡ We also visited one of our first business customers, Central Highlands Tea Company (𝐊𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲), and were warmly welcomed by Kobia Mercy, the Production Manager who’s doing an amazing job. These visits are always an interesting opportunity to engage with our customers and get feedback on how we can further improve in providing them with affordable, reliable, and sustainable power 🌍 🔋 𝐖𝐞’𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮! 🔔 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 We recently signed a strategic partnership with FMO - Dutch entrepreneurial development bank and EDFI Management Company, two major renewable energy investors supporting projects that improve access to sustainable energy in developing countries.      Securing their trust on this deal, after nearly two years of work, is a testament to the hard work and commitment the team has put in over the years 👏     𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫?    💡 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬: We’ll develop 8 small hydro projects across four mini-grids in Kenya to provide reliable power to homes, schools, and businesses in rural Kenya.   🤝🏽️ 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: The investment will result in an estimated 2,582 new connections, benefiting approximately 10,000 beneficiaries  🌍 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: By working closely with local stakeholders, we’re aiming for growth that’s rooted in community needs and long-term sustainability.     𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭?
