As the Communication and Dissemination Work Package Leader for the Portugal Blue Digital Hub (PBDH) project, our team was on hand to showcase the project's key role in driving the digital transformation of the Blue Economy. Business2Sea provided a fantastic platform to share knowledge, foster partnerships and connect with industry leaders who are shaping a sustainable and innovative future for our oceans. The CLARION Project held its first General Assembly in Athens from 5-7 November! 🇬🇷 This Assembly provided the perfect setting to deepen collaboration between partners and explore new synergies across work packages. By sharing different perspectives, partners set the stage for the next six months of high-impact work to increase resilience and sustainability in European ports, thereby contributing to the fight against climate change. 🌍 Magellan Circle, as leader of the work package "Measures to maximise impact and market uptake", is leading key tasks in the areas of communication, scientific dissemination, exploitation and innovation management. This role is essential to promote the outcomes of the project, foster greater market uptake and ensure a strategic approach to impact. This week our team attended the Danube Ports Days 2024 organised by Pro Danube on 29 and 30 October in Budapest, Hungary. We participated in this event representing our innovative projects in the domain of inland waterways and maritime transport: FOREMAST, ReNEW and PIONEERS Ports. ⚓ The two-day event brought together key actors in inland waterway transport (IWT) to discuss innovations in sustainability and port operations and was a great moment to connect with leading stakeholders committed to sustainable urban mobility and green innovation within inland waterways.🚢   #DanubePortsDays #Budapest #inlandwaterways #HorizonEurope #sustainability #transport

A successful SEANERGY conference in Palermo! ✨ Organised by Magellan Circle, the SEANERGY Project conference in Palermo brought together maritime leaders, innovators, and policy makers committed to advancing sustainable solutions for ports and shipping. The event showcased discussions on the energy transition, including insights on renewable energy applications and port decarbonisation strategies. A great honour for Magellan Circle at Offshore Wind Revolution ⚡ Magellan Circle is deeply honoured to have played a role in the inaugural Offshore Wind Revolution – Building the Industry and Getting the Ports Ready event, which proved to be a powerful catalyst for the offshore wind sector! Two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed at this important event, organised by the Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mare di Sicilia Occidentale in collaboration with the Magellan Circle. 🤝 The first MoU was signed between Innovation Norway, represented by Mauro Migliavacca, Acting Director, and AERO Associazione delle Energie Rinnovabili Offshore, chaired by Fulvio Mamone Capria. The second MoU was signed between Innovation Norway and ANEV, Associazione Nazionale Energia del Vento, led by President Simone Togni. Both MoUs aim to stimulate bilateral cooperation between industries, research institutions, and organisations in Italy and Norway, with a focus on information exchange and cooperation in offshore wind technology and renewable energy. We're delighted that this event has been chosen as the ideal platform to initiate partnerships that will strengthen cooperation between Italian and Norwegian industries, research institutions, and organisations. Special thanks to our partners WindEurope, ANEV, Associazione Nazionale Energia del Vento, AERO, and the Embassy of Denmark in Italy for their support in making this event a milestone moment for offshore wind energy!
