  • 💡 How can virtual models enhance healthcare? 💡 We’re excited to collaborate on the DT4CARE project with Data Science Institute (DSI) UHasselt and Lucie Dekimpe, funded by VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship through the Baekeland program! This project focuses on using digital twin technology, which creates virtual simulations of patients by combining data and advanced modeling. These digital twins allow healthcare providers to simulate, predict, and optimize treatment outcomes, leading to better-informed decisions and more personalized care. 🚀 Excited to see how this innovative approach can transform healthcare! 🚀 Thanks to Lucie Dekimpe Bruno Bonnechère Andries Pauwels Julien Lebleu Sarah Vercruysse #digitaltwin #healthinnovation #telemonitoring

  • Attending the 'Rethinking Diabetes Care' event co-organized by beMedTech and E-Health Venture earlier this week was a valuable experience. Bob Moens had the opportunity to present our diabetes care solution, and it was enlightening to engage with a wide range of experts from across the healthcare field—policy makers, doctors, healthcare professionals, mutualities, and more. 📌 Rethinking diabetes care involves more than just adopting new technologies; it requires a fundamental transformation of care delivery. We are glad to have been part of these important conversations. The event emphasized the potential of integrating innovative technologies into standard care practices, and we look forward to contributing to the ongoing efforts to improve chronic disease management. 🚀 This is just the beginning. Together, we can turn these ideas into reality and enhance the future of diabetes care.

When it comes to outcomes for people living with #diabetes, there is still significant room for improvement. That’s why, this afternoon, we are co-organising the multistakeholder event "Rethinking Diabetes Care: From Innovation to New Care Models", together with E-Health Venture. 💡 A wide range of medical technologies can help improve diabetes care and outcomes, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. But ... ... new technologies alone won’t do the job. To succeed and realise real impact, we need to integrate these technologies into existing healthcare processes and develop new care models. 🚦 This is exactly the aim of this afternoon's event. We’re not just exploring new technologies; we’re discussing what it takes to move "from pilots to practice." To borrow a quote from Dr Frank Nobels' presentation (who most likely borrowed it himself 😉): we have a dream of improving diabetes care through the use of medical technologies. 🚀 And this is just the beginning. We believe diabetes can be the starting point to demonstrate how innovative care models can increase efficiency, improve outcomes, and ultimately transform the way we approach chronic disease management as a whole. #medtechmatters #chroniccare #healthoutcomes #patientempowerment

  • 🤔 Are we making the most of our healthcare innovations, or are we stuck in silos? At #HealthonStage last week, we had a valuable opportunity to reflect on Belgium's healthcare innovation landscape. With the entire Belgian ecosystem on the same stage, it became clear that collaboration is essential for maximizing our advancements. Here are some key insights we gathered:  💡"Artificial, but not intelligence" – Real intelligence comes from collaboration. By sharing knowledge across regions and sectors, we can drive meaningful innovation. 📊 Personalized Medicine – Utilizing data to predict outcomes is a game changer. It’s personalized because it’s based on individuals, but to truly harness its potential, we need to share data between healthcare providers and industry to gain real insights. 🔑 Data Exchange is a Priority – Unlocking clinical data for safe reuse is crucial. This capability will enhance patient outcomes and foster smarter innovations. 🚀 (Inter)National Collaboration is the Goal – Having the whole country in one room highlighted what we can achieve through collective effort. While federal and regional projects are progressing, the next step is integrating these innovations across the entire healthcare system. At MoveUP, we’re eager to contribute to this effort, advocating for a future where collaboration and data-driven insights shape Belgian healthcare. Let’s work together! 💥 #MedTechBelgium #HealthcareInnovation #Collaboration Great thanks for the nice talks and presentations, MEDVIA lifetech Brussels BioWin Julien Lebleu Ward Servaes Bob Moens Ann Van Gysel Christophe Jauquet Gatien Hocepied Marie Loriaux Jade Deltour Julien Guiot and many more!
