Kinderen zijn onze toekomst. Daarom vragen wij van de zorginstanties speciale aandacht voor vroeggeboorte. In België worden ieder jaar meer dan 10000 baby's te vroeg geboren. Het recht op kwaliteitszorg mag dan elementair lijken, in werkelijkheid hebben we nog heel wat werk. Als belangenverdedigers van prematuren en hun ouders hebben wij volgende eisen: - Elk koppel heeft recht op uitgebreide en duidelijke informatie over de belangrijke factoren die van invloed zijn op hun eigen gezondheid en die van hun baby. Ook heeft elke vrouw recht op hoogwaardige zorg vóór de conceptie en tijdens de zwangerschap.  - Elk kind heeft recht op gelijke toegang tot passende, kindgerichte en kwalitatief goede zorg. Vooral prematuren en pasgeboren baby's moeten verzekerd zijn van uitstekende, ontwikkelingsondersteunende behandeling en zorg.  - Elk ziekenhuis en elke zorgprofessional moet zich houden aan de Europese normen voor de gezondheid van pasgeborenen.  - Elke te vroeg geboren baby en zijn/haar gezin verdienen medische, psychologische, sociaal-pedagogische en financiële ondersteuning... omdat ALLE pasgeboren baby's (en hun ouders) recht hebben op de beste start in het leven. Parceque les enfants sont l'avenir de notre société, nous demandons aux autorités de santé une attention particulière au problème de la prématurité. En Belgique la prématurité touche plus de 10000 nouveau-nés chaque année. Si le droit élémentaire à des soins de qualité pour ces nouveau-nés semble évident, la réalité du terrain est bien différente. En tant que représentants des nouveau-nés prématurés et de leur parents nos revendications sont simples:  - Chaque femme et chaque couple a le droit de recevoir des informations complètes et intelligibles sur les facteurs importants qui influencent sa santé et celle de son bébé, ainsi que des soins de qualité avant la conception et pendant la grossesse.  - Chaque enfant a droit à un accès équitable à des soins de qualité, appropriés et adaptés à ses besoins. Les prématurés et les nouveau-nés en particulier doivent bénéficier d'un traitement et de soins de qualité, favorables à leur développement.  - Chaque hôpital ou professionnel de soins doit adhérer aux normes européennes de soins de santé pour les nouveau-nés.  - Chaque bébé prématuré et sa famille doivent bénéficier d’un soutien médical, psychologique, socio-pédagogique et financier. Parceque TOUS les nouveau-nés (et leurs parents) ont droit au meilleur départ dans la vie.
