This Tuesday, oPEN Lab partners gathered at EnergyVille in Genk for our second review meeting. 🏗️ Progress in oPEN Living Lab Tartu Ravila 49! 🌟 Since September 2024, renovation preparations have been in full swing in Tartu. With the launch of the national renovation financing by KredEx in October, housing associations like Ravila 49 have been worked hard to finalise their applications. Key highlights from Ravila 49’s journey: ✅ A resident survey on 17 October showed strong support for renovation, with 27 flat owners participating. ✅ Updates to the renovation plan include balcony insulation, a modernised lift, bicycle parking facilities, basement upgrades, new storage units, and a direct connection to Tartu Veevärk. ✅ The KredEx application was successfully submitted on 28 October. 📰 Read the full news here: https://lnkd.in/eKgATKKt The project team extends its gratitude to all residents for their input and cooperation. 🏢 Accelerating the EU's Path to Zero-Emission Buildings with New Policy Recommendations! 🏢 Achieving zero-emission and energy-positive buildings is essential for Europe’s climate ambitions 🌍. The updated Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) sets the stage for this transformation, but financial barriers still hinder progress. 🔑 To support policymakers at national and regional levels, a new set of 10 policy recommendations offers actionable solutions to overcome financing challenges in building renovations.
