Delighted to have been part of this successful project - thank you to all who contributed and look forward to the next stages as we are establish a Peppol Authority in France.
France Peppol Authority On Friday 13 December 2024, DGFIP confirmed that the Administration would become the Peppol Authority for France in the coming months. This is an important milestone in the journey towards interoperability amongst recognised and accredited Service Providers (PDPs) via Peppol, which became even more important since the decision not to exchange electronic invoices through the public platform. For the last two years OpenPeppol, supported by FNFE and GENA, have been conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) in France. The aim of this PoC was to implement the requirement of the French Reform for eInvoicing and eReporting and test the exchange of electronic invoices and related status messages using the Peppol Network. This was successfully achieved and the PoC will conclude at the end of 2024 and its results will be put into production and introduced as specific requirements for France within the Peppol Interoperability Framework as of January 2025. To ensure a smooth transition towards the exchange framework among PDPs in production, OpenPeppol will act as an interim Peppol Authority for France until DGFIP is ready to be phased into the role. OpenPeppol is looking forward to working closely with DGFIP and the French Service Providers as well as FNFE and GENA to support the French community in its migration towards electronic invoicing and reporting. Special thanks to the France PoC Project Team led by Lefteris Leontaridis and Didier Lombard and, above all, Cyrille Sautereau, whose knowledge and guidance has always been formidable and also to all the Service Provider participants without whom there would have been no PoC. It has been a long journey with a very positive outcome and a clear road ahead as we move into Production. The OpenPeppol network continues to grow. FNFE-MPE DGFiP AIFE GENA
