We recently welcomed some truly impressive parts by Gosselin Logistics, ordered by INEOS BELGIUM #ProjectONE, at PSA Breakbulk. Take a look at the C3 Splitter which is no less than 93m long and weighs a mind-boggling 589T! 🤯💪   Along with the wash tower, gas dryers and water tower, all units were also safely discharged on our terminal. We recently welcomed the first two parts for Gosselin Logistics, ordered by INEOS BELGIUM #ProjectONE, at PSA Breakbulk. PSA Breakbulk has once again proven itself a frontrunner in ensuring the health and well-being of dock workers. Recently, we took a leading role in enhancing safety measures concerning the loading and unloading of long steel products in collaboration with stakeholders in Middlesbrough, UK. 💪🏗️   A team of PSA Breakbulk colleagues, both from the HSEQ dept as from the operations dept, travelled to Middlesbrough to cooperate with stakeholders British Steel Factory, BIM as ship’s agent, and various stevedoring companies from the port of Middlesbrough (AV Dawson) and from the port of Immingham on reducing the risks of accidents at work. The aim was to implement measures to prevent slips, trips and falls during the stowing of steel, a process historically fraught with safety challenges for port workers. 👷♀️👷♂️ Through constructive dialogue and a shared commitment to leading safety efforts in our industry, all parties involved succeeded in reaching agreements that significantly enhance safety standards. British Steel Factory, a producer of steel, played a pivotal role in these discussions, with their utmost priority being the safety of all dock workers. 🦺🤝   The fact that we dispatched a team of experts on-site underscores safety as a top priority for us. 🚀 Just wrapped up an incredible SAFETY WEEK journey! From Jan 16th to Jan 24th, our HSSE team hit the road, visiting Noordzee Terminal, Europa Terminal, MSC PSA European Terminal, PSA Breakbulk NV, PSA Zeebrugge, and our HQ in Antwerp. 🌟 Under the theme "Valuing Lives," we collectively committed to prioritizing safety. One of the highlights was the launch of our 'Tim Tegoei' safety campaign, with a renewed emphasis on seat belt usage. We provided brand-new belts for our straddle carrier drivers and even organized an interactive game to test everyone's seat belt knowledge. Plus, everyone gained hands-on experience by sitting in a straddle carrier seat and fastening the new four-point belt. 💡 In collaboration with Responsible Young Drivers Vlaanderen, we set up a challenging slalom course and showcased a crash test simulator. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of seat belt usage. Additionally, interactive safety workshops on falls and trips underscored the significance of order and cleanliness for a safe working environment. 🤝 Our CEO, Cameron Thorpe, joined the Safety Walk at Noordzee Terminal, engaging directly with port workers to understand their safety concerns and insights. 🍔 Food trucks at all locations expressed gratitude for the active participation of everyone involved. As our annual SAFETY WEEK concludes, our commitment to safety stands stronger than ever. A heartfelt thank you to all our employees for making it a resounding success. A sustained focus on safety is essential in the dynamic environment in which our company operates. At our terminals, a strong safety culture with people who are truly concerned about their own safety as well as the safety of their colleagues is indispensable. To raise even more awareness for this topic, we organize a safety week each year during which several activities take place at our locations. Today, we’re kicking off this yearly initiative to wish everyone a safe, healthy and productive year at the start of 2024. 🦺💪 ‘Valuing Lives’ is the theme for this year’s safety week as our collective goal is simple: every colleague should be able to return home to their loved ones after every shift without any injuries, no exception. For that reason, we urge all colleagues to look beyond taking responsibility for their personal safety.
