skeyes raised €15,000 for De Warmste Week and Viva for Life! 🎉🚴♂️     skeyes proudly participated in De Warmste Week and Viva for Life, supporting two vital causes: combating loneliness and fighting child poverty.     This year, we challenged our colleagues to cycle as many kilometres as possible, with skeyes donating €2 for every kilometre ridden. Thanks to the incredible dedication and teamwork of our colleagues, we achieved our ambitious goal of 7,500 kilometres!     Thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic initiative. 💡 Did you know that skeyes actively supports #sustainability by donating decommissioned IT equipment to schools and non-profit organisations?    The systems and software we use require significant computing power, meaning some equipment no longer meets our #operational standards. However, it’s still in excellent condition and perfectly suited for a second life. That’s why skeyes is proud to give this equipment a meaningful new purpose.    🎁 Here are some of the recent donations skeyes has made: - Onze-Lieve-Vrouwencollege, Antwerp: Around 20 laptops were donated to create a task class for children from families who cannot afford their own computers. With 13 nationalities represented, some devices are also being used to help students improve their language skills.    - De l’autre côté de l’Ecole, Auderghem: Another 20 laptops were donated, opening new opportunities for students to develop essential IT skills. The laptops were handed over during a visit to skeyes, where students toured our control tower and the DiTo (Digital Tower Development Centre).    - Sint-Jans Berchmanscollege, Antwerp: Laptops and additional screens were donated to support students in their schoolwork.    - RADIO REFLEX MECHELEN: A local community radio station received laptops and desktop devices. FABEC Council and FABEC CEO Board - Paris, 3 December 2024 The FABEC Council and FABEC CEO Board convened in Paris yesterday for their 30th bi-annual joint meeting. The agenda included status updates on the RP4 performance plan, developments in infringement proceedings, and discussions on future performance indicators. Representatives from FABEC States, Military Authorities, and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) also received updates on the Joint States/ANSP Work Programme and a report on the progress of the social dialogue. 🎉 5 Years of Civil-Military Cooperation at Steenokkerzeel 🎉     Today, we celebrate the fifth anniversary of civil and military air navigation services working side by side at the skeyes site in Steenokkerzeel. Since the ATCC's move from Semmerzake in 2019, this partnership has brought significant benefits, including more efficient, safe, and sustainable airspace use.     Key milestones:  ✅ A joint supervisor suite enabling faster civil-military coordination (June 2020).  ✅ The launch of the Airspace Management Cell (AMC) for improved flexibility and safety (September 2020).  ✅ Unified aeronautical information with Belgium’s single NOTAM Office (June 2024).  ✅ A roadmap for safe integration of wind energy into airspace (June 2024).     By 2030, skeyes and ATCC aim for full integration, with shared controllers, systems, and operations.
