Harvest time on our #agroforestry plot! 🌳 The tree rows parade merrily alongside the combine doing its job in the #organic maize crop. 🌾 Our walnut trees are almost 4 years old now and are growing very well, in harmony with the succession of organic crops and pastures, all managed in a #regenerative agroforestry system. 🍀

Wrapping up an intensive field survey in #Africa for an assessment of over 500,000 ha of natural grasslands in the mighty #savannah of the Katanga highlands in the DRC. Our approach involved the use of remote sensing, coupled with on-field validation of soil and agrostology context to refine grasslands classification derived from satellite imagery maps 🛰️ These large-scale cattle ranches managed by GoCongo are crucial operations for securing local beef production and mitigating food imports in the Congo. These natural savannah livestock systems are 100% #grassfed, fenceless and actively involve local #communities, enabling the development of resilient and sustainable farming systems.
