VINCI Energies Belgium is a proud sponsor of Anke Sneyers, 23 years old and one of Belgium's most promising G-athletes. She doesn’t just amaze in competitions within Belgium; internationally, she is also among the absolute elite. Last Saturday, Anke competed at the Special Olympics in Luxembourg. She participated in the 60 meters and long jump. In the 60 meters, she won her qualifying heat and sprinted to an impressive time of 8.50” in the final, improving her personal best by 0.06 seconds. In the long jump, Anke also qualified for the final, though her extended absence due to injury made it a challenge to find the right approach. Still, she ended the competition on a high note with a winning jump of 4.15 meters. The next competition, and an important goal, is the Belgian Indoor Championship on Sunday, December 8, in Ghent! Together with her we’re hoping for a spot on the podium.
