Education is key to tackling climate change but it’s the teachers—equipped with the right training and support—that make it happen! In South Africa, the Keep it Cool project helps educators integrate climate change into their teaching. With schools highly affected by extreme weather, teachers are leading activities like setting up food gardens, composting organic waste and building rainwater harvesting systems. As Busisiwe Shandu, Head of the Science Department, puts it, "Keep it Cool is not just a project but something that is keeping our kids in school and providing them with a healthy meal."
