We are on a journey to redefine play and reimagine learning. Because play is how children learn naturally.
Om os
Children are inherently curious. They explore the world through play and develop the skills to navigate it. They learn to solve problems, come up with ideas, test concepts and interact with others. Play is how children learn best – at home, in the classroom and in communities. We work together with caregivers, educators, policymakers, researchers, NGO's & other organisations to create opportunities for children to learn through play.

Children need a diverse range of skills to thrive. But sometimes different funders have a different focus which makes it hard for partners to work in an holistic way. So we joined forces with leading education funders to collaborate around a shared vision. Our aim? To make it easier for our partners to support children to develop a full spectrum of skills - from literacy and numeracy to creativity and social-emotional learning. These efforts, led by The Brookings Institution and International Education Funders Group (IEFG), led to this joint commitment statement, which creates opportunities for co-funding, joint research, and collective impact. Exciting developments are on the horizon as we work together for a brighter future in education.

Every child deserves a safe place to play, to learn, and to heal. Yet, for countless children fleeing the war in Ukraine, life has been filled with trauma, loss, and uncertainty. That's why our partner, UNICEF Romania, is on the ground, supporting these children and families every step of the way. Through the Play and Learning Hubs, UNICEF is providing critical opportunities for early childhood education and care. Here, children can find a sense of normalcy, develop essential skills, and begin to heal. These hubs offer more than learning - they are spaces of resilience, where hope and recovery take root. We have sent out 10,000 LEGO® Play Boxes to Play and Learning Hubs in Romania and Moldova. These boxes bring the power of play to children who need it most, offering comfort, creativity, and joy in challenging times. Retired LEGO employees are volunteering to pack LEGO Play Boxes. These special non-commercial kits, partly made from surplus materials, are designed with learning through play in mind, helping children develop tools to navigate social and emotional challenges. #WorldChildrensDay #PowerOfPlay #ForEveryChild #BuildingHope

Digital play is a growing part of children's lives, offering opportunities for exploration, learning, and collaboration like never before. When designed thoughtfully, digital experiences can positively impact children's wellbeing. That’s why we’re proud to celebrate the launch of the Responsible Innovation in Technology for Children (RITEC) Design Toolbox — a collaboration with UNICEF, the LEGO Group, and funded by the LEGO Foundation. The RITEC Design Toolbox is built on insights from the latest RITEC research, which included input from children and leading experts in the field. At its core is the RITEC-8 framework, designed to help businesses, game developers, and policymakers create digital spaces that prioritize children's well-being. This powerful toolkit is now available for everyone to use, offering guidance on designing and evaluating digital experiences that are safe, enriching, and supportive of children’s development. Let’s work together to shape a better digital world for children. 👉 Explore the RITEC Design Toolbox here: https://lnkd.in/dsCZhjDc
