Who You'll Work With
You will work in our Brussels office and be an integral part of our Finance team, providing general accounting support. Your efforts will ensure data accuracy and adherence to both local and firm accounting policies.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will handle tax filing and compliance by preparing, reviewing, and ensuring timely submission of all tax-related documents.
Additionally, you will prepare year-end audit schedules, gather required data, and complete ad-hoc tasks as necessary, working closely with both internal and external auditors as well as the global Corporate Tax Team to maintain consistent compliance. Your responsibilities in financial reporting will include preparing monthly journal entries according to published deadlines, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and completeness, and collaborating with the global accounting team to address any outstanding items within the appropriate timeframe. During the month-end close process, you will review monthly results, confirm the accuracy of entries, and calculate monthly expense accruals.
Your role will also involve a variety of analytical and technical tasks, such as assisting in the invoice processing to ensure accurate general ledger and project code usage, leveraging MS Excel and other tools for financial analysis, and developing business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls.
In terms of collaboration and communication, you will liaise with tax authorities to handle any queries or disputes, work closely with external consultants and counsels on tax-related matters, and cooperate with cross-functional teams and auditors to uphold regulatory compliance. You’ll respond to queries and manage ad-hoc requests efficiently, while also coordinating with our global centers as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in fiscal accounting, taxation, or related field
- 3+ years of finance experience preferably in a professional services environment
- Strong MS Office skills ( i.e., Excel, PowerPoint and Word); knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Strong foundation in finance and accounting, with in-depth expertise in local tax and fiscal regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communications skills to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with proficiency in French and/or Dutch
