Accounting Manager

Our client, a global leader in logistics services, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead its Accounting team.

The successful candidate will oversee the closing process, prepare annual accounts and tax returns, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.

Location: Port of Antwerp (up to 50% remote work)

• The responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include:
• Lead, guide, and coach a team of Accountants
• Prepare annual accounts for multiple entities
• File corporate tax returns and manage other tax obligations
• Ensure accurate tax reporting and develop optimal tax planning strategies
• Oversee accurate monthly and annual closings
• Manage fixed asset processes
• Develop and implement internal controls to manage financial risks
• Continuously improve financial administration and reporting processes
• Act as a key financial contact for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• University degree in Accountancy
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax and tax regulations
• Proficiency in IFRS and Belgian GAAP (BGAAP)
• Experience with banking relations and financial management
• Proven team leadership experience
• Results-oriented and proactive mindset
• Fluency in both Dutch and English
