We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst who excels in translating business needs into functional capabilities and data architectures to join our Data and Services (DnS) tribe and work in Anomaly Detection (AD) business area.


AD is responsible for providing our customers with best-in-class API and portal-based services to detect and act on payment anomalies as early as possible ensuring a safe end-to-end frictionless payment experience.


You will be based at our headquarters in Belgium (2 days minimum at the office).



Key Responsibilities


  • You will analyse, validate, define, and maintain functional and non-functional requirements by working closely with different stakeholders, ranging from market experts to software engineers and customer support specialists.
  • You will examine problems, assess alternative solutions, and continuously reconcile requirements with evolving business environment and emerging technical limitations.
  • You will produce and maintain conceptual models (functional and data) and provide product expert knowledge during all phases of software delivery.
  • You may contribute to product backlog management in collaboration with the product owners.
  • You will keep abreast of both business market and technology trends in own area of expertise and apply this knowledge to bring fit-for-purpose solutions to customers.

  • Solution modelling / visual facilitation techniques and tools (e.g., UML, Sparx EA, SAP LeanIX, etc.)
  • Data modelling and governance practices and tools (e.g., Idera ER/Studio, Collibra, etc.)
  • API specification standards and tools (e.g., OpenAPI, Swagger, etc.)
  • Agile planning methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, etc.)
  • Team collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, MS Teams, etc.)
  • Behaviour-driven development approach and tools (e.g., Cucumber, etc.) - will be an advantage



Education


  • University degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Business, or equivalent



Experience


  • 7+ years in similar capacity requiring both deep technical understanding and strong business acumen.
  • Broad experience in specifying functional and non-functional requirements, leading functional and data design, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, managing senior business stakeholders, and providing clear guidance to engineers.
  • Previous experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Previous experience in financial services / financial crime prevention - will be an advantage
