Customer Service Agent – Claims Department (gn)
This exciting claims function is seen as a valued business partner and plays a critical role in day to day management of our business, the direction of our business and with our brokers.
This is not a traditional back office function. If you are fluent in French, Dutch and English - and if you are looking for a full-time and permanent position and if you like a structured and efficient way of working with the ability to be innovative and creative and you enjoy dealing with customers, showing empathy and a willingness to help, then apply now and become part of our awesome claims team! There’s no need to have experience in the insurance industry ; If you do so, this would be an advantage.
Your Tasks
- You are the first telephone contact for our customers in the event of a claim.
- You answer the questions of our brokers and end customers as far as possible on the phone and provide them with initial information on how to handle the claim.
- You may coordinate customer inquiries in close collaboration with other departments.
- You are monitoring closely the claims mailbox and processing timely the incoming correspondences.
- You are in charge of an accurate, timely and efficient data entry and quality checking of claims information as per Hiscox standards.
- You are responsible for the opening of new claims files into the system and you help with an efficient processing of the claims.
- You prepare the payment of claims and providers’ invoices in the system.
- You support our claims teams in processing claims and handle simple issues yourself in writing.
- You also support the claims teams administratively and operationally in handling the claims.
- You support and participate in the adaptation and improvement of processes and procedures.
- You work independently, precisely and in a service and solution-oriented manner.
- You have good communication skills when dealing with sales partners and customers.
- Your knowledge of spoken and written Dutch and French is very good and your knowledge of English is good.
- You have excellent organizational skills to enable you to keep track of priorities and a get it done attitude.
- You have good interpersonal skills.
- You pay attention to detail and quality to produce high quality output
- You have a good PC knowledge of common office programs (e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook).
- You are resilient, flexible, a team player, responsible and quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks.
