Qualifications

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You have a master degree with minimum 5 years’ experience as a financial analyst, financial controller or auditor;
  • Good understanding of key performance indicators;
  • Previous experience within an international group;
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve results;
  • Considerable experience in all aspects of accounting with the ability to analyse information and present findings;
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI and IT skills, with ERP experience and Oracle knowledge an advantage;
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong drive and perseverance and stress resilient;
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations, including business process;
  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English - both spoken and written.


Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE : Reporting to the CFO the primary focus of the Financial Controller will be the day to day management of the Belgium Accounts Team and provide financial reporting across all areas of Belgium and France to all Business Managers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carrying out P/L analysis for the Group and individual business areas;
  • Reporting financial and business information to the US Parent Company on a monthly and annual basis;
  • Preparing meaningful Management Accounts to the local and EU Management Team;
  • Standardising forecast formats and reducing unnecessary reports;
  • Coordinating and preparing budgets, forecasts and financial activities on an annual and ad-hoc basis, providing analysis on Key Performance Indicators;
  • Actual versus budget analysis with variance reporting on a monthly basis;
  • Reviewing of business processes in relation to financial costs;
  • Cash flow reporting;
  • Producing accurate and timely P/L reporting and balance sheets;
  • Reconciliation of statutory Consolidated Financial Statements;
  • Assisting with the annual audit preparation;
  • Analysing financial results, actual vs forecasts and recommending changes;
  • Interacting with relevant departments to improve cost control;
  • Assisting the CFO in development and implementation of new processes and procedures;
  • Responsible for staff development and training of Finance Team;
  • Ad-hoc reports and analysis as required;
  • Ensuring that the Company’s policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed in carrying out the above duties.
