Your mission:

As Head of People at Paynovate, you’ll be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for shaping an environment where we can attract, retain, and develop top talent aligned with our strategic goals. In this dynamic, scaling environment, you'll balance building essential HR foundations with efficiently managing day-to-day needs. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll ensure that our people strategies drive business results and support our growth in a regulated industry.

  • HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Act as a strategic partner to leadership to ensure that HR initiatives support our rapid growth and evolving needs.
  • Policy Design & Implementation: Establish and refine HR policies, processes, and best practices, ensuring compliance and alignment with company values.
  • Compliance: Ensure that HR practices are compliant with local labour laws (BE, FR, UK) and financial industry regulations.
  • Reporting: Manage HR reporting and analytics to provide actionable insights to leadership and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention: Lead recruitment planning, onboarding, and career development initiatives to build a skilled and diverse workforce. Drive initiatives to ensure talent retention.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Performance Management: Design and oversee performance evaluation systems that support career growth, skills development, and continuous improvement.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Work closely with finance and leadership to create competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with industry benchmarks and support employee well-being.
  • Team management: Lead and manage a dedicated HR team of three, including an HR Business Partner, an Office Manager and a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team operates efficiently and aligns with overall HR goals.


Is this you?

At Paynovate, we focus on positioning the right talent in the right roles, empowering our people to drive the business forward. We seek someone who:

  • Brings 7-10 years of experience in HR management, ideally in financial services or fintech.
  • Has a successful track record in developing and scaling HR functions from the ground up.
  • Has proven experience in managing HR functions across different countries, with an understanding of international labour laws and cultural considerations
  • Is trilingual with a strong command of French, Dutch, and English.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead, influence, and engage across various levels and functions with a hands-on approach.
  • Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Is adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced, scale-up context.
