We are looking for a HR Business Partner for a freelance project in Brussels, BE. The position is Full-Time (5 days p/week) and hybrid over an initial duration of 4 Months, plus a high likelihood of extensions.


Contractual Details

Location: Brussels, BE (1-2 days onsite / 3-4 days WFH)

Duration: 4 Months (plus a high likelihood of extensions)

B2B Freelance / Contract

5 Days Per Week / Full-Time


Languages: French AND Dutch Fluency + English

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our team on a temporary basis (minimum 3 months) to support a major client within the retail sector. In this role, you will be a key member of the HR team, providing expert HR support to a diverse population of employees at the client's service centre headquarters. This includes individuals from various departments such as finance, IT, e-commerce, and coding, as well as members of the client's executive committee.


Key Responsibilities:


Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee inquiries and requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers across all levels.


Talent Management:

  • Roll out and implement various talent management programs, including but not limited to:
  • Succession planning
  • Talent acquisition
  • Employee development
  • Learning & Development initiatives


Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
  • Project Support:
  • Contribute to and support various HR projects as needed.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Excellent bilingual skills in Dutch and French are essential.
  • Strong English language proficiency is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legislation.
  • Expertise in talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with diverse employee populations.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working within the retail sector.
  • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
