Junior Accountant (m/f/d)

What the job is about?

In this position, you will join our international finance team, primarily focusing on the timely and accurate generation and delivery of sales invoices to our global customers.

Collaborating with your colleagues, the role will also evolve to supporting day to day accounting activities and the month end closing process. This will include bank transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.

You will also provide support during annual financial audits.

Following an initial onboarding period where you'll familiarize yourself with accounting practices and specific business processes, you'll progressively assume responsibility for customer billing and over time, more accounting tasks.

With Sofico's sustained expansion, the finance team's scope of tasks will continuously grow and diversify, providing ample challenges and growth opportunities for every team member.

Your Interests And Skills

• A good level of IT proficiency, with the ability to navigate and utilize various software effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to perform essential tasks efficiently
• A basic understanding of VAT and its implications in financial transactions
• Competency in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication
  
  
  

You will be a step ahead in onboarding if you have any of the following (these are an added benefit, but not needed to apply):

• A basic qualification in accounting or bookkeeping
• Experience of working in an international business
• An understanding of financial accounting principles and their application
• Familiarity with Exact Globe Next software, as that's the software we currently use
