As a Junior Java Engineer at Green Island, you will produce and launch high quality slot and dice games.

  • Develop the game logic in Java given certain game specifications and requirements
  • Write code that can handle many concurrent players
  • Collaborate with game designers, mathematicians, and frontend engineers to deliver a high quality product
  • Understand the effect of game parameters and make suggestions on game configurations
  • Improve UX by adding new features to games

Gezocht Profiel

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, data science, engineering
  • Good knowledge of Java and concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism, lambda expressions, generic classes, and java streams
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and concepts such as keys, indices, transactions, and locks
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience/knowledge of Maven build tool and Spring framework is a plus
  • Located in Belgium and fluent English speaker
  • Motivated team player that is willing to go the extra mile to deliver a product of high quality
