Senior Business Controller

Solina Belgium is part of the company Solina Group, expert in customized solutions for food processing industrials (meat

industry, ready meal-& snack industry, QSR), food service professionals and nutritional industrials.

Next to its operations in Belgium, the Belgian subsidiary covers also a lot of interco business and some export activities to

countries in Eastern Europe. Solina Belgium is part of Solina Central Europe area which covers BE, NL, FR and GE.

As Business controller BE you will contribute to the financial and commercial success of the company by providing

clear objective, financial and business data to support the decision process.

You will report to the CE Business controller and be part of a larger controlling team.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will be involved in projects of different nature: optimization of reporting, process improvement, identify & measure KPI’s, ad-hoc analysis, …
• You highlight and report significant operational and financial performance issues to the team and you recommend actions.
• You offer strategic insight and experience by implementing new initiatives to impact the bottom line.
• Furthermore you are responsible for the monthly report of the operating results and you prepare and comment an annual forecast for review with the management.
• You also assist in the preparation of the long term forecast by providing advice and financial models for the formulation of strategies and goals.
• You prepare and submit for review with the CE business controller the budget by assessing and consolidating the inputs and ensuring that they are achievable with the available resources and that they are consistent with company policies and profit targets.
• You prepare and analyze on a monthly basis, variances, performance against budget, trends, risks and opportunities, key drivers and sensitivities.
• Next to these responsibilities, you will also assist in ad hoc analysis and projects.

Your profile:

• You have a Master degree in Finance or Economics.
• You have 5 years of experience in a similar function.
• You are highly proficient in MS Office: Excel, Access, Powerpoint.
• You have strong analytical skills and you have a critical sense.
• You are a result and solution-oriented person, you are communicative and you can prioritize.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
