For our client, a renowned international company based in the Zaventem/Diegem region, we are currently looking for a Senior Business Controller.
Role
The Business Controller proactively supports middle management and the board by analyzing and reporting financial and business information with the aim of improving the business and creating value for the company in line with business policies and legislation.
Depending on the business unit(s) the Business Controller supports, the direct result areas can differ depending on the responsibility area and are defined in further detail.
Key responsibilities
Monitor and, in agreement with the business, ensure that all business is correctly translated into the financial processes and actively participate in the improvement of the business- and financial related processes
Set up adequate business management reporting (dashboards, KPIs) to board & management
Coordinate and develop the strategic planning process (multi-year plan, budget plan) and rolling forecasts
Coordinate the corporate performance management cycle, ranging from target setting in cooperation with the board and management to periodic follow-up
Advise and assist in the development of business-related projects and support in the set-up and review of specific business cases
Set up client profitability management within the organization, including maintaining and optimizing client profitability tools, providing training to commercial teams and performing analyses on riding fleet and new orders in order to highlight performance and points of attention.
Requirements for the role
You hold a University degree in Economics, Finance or Management.
You have 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in business controlling, financial analysis, FP&A, corporate reporting or audit.
You feel comfortable in complex and fast paced international environment.
You have experience in analyzing financial and business processes.
You have a proven track-record of driving business performance by collaborating with the business and propose solutions to create or increase business value (a.k.a. business partnering).
You have strong communication skills and have the ability to translate financial info in a comprehensive way for non-financial staff.
You have strong planning & organization skills.
You are stress resistant and able to meet tight deadlines.
