Yesterday, we (Equans BeLux) had the privelege of welcoming our colleagues from Bouygues Construction to the substation construction yard in Hoboken. Last week, together with our client TenneT TSO B.V., we welcomed European stakeholders to our yard in Hoboken, where the platform for the Hollandse Kust West Beta project is under construction. Succesful completion of the 220kV platform cable after installation tests on the newly built Hollandse Kust West Beta topside at the offshore yard in Antwerp (BE). 🫱🏼🫲🏼🏗️ Last week, a delegation from the Ministerie van Klimaat en Groene Groei, The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, Rijkswaterstaat, and the Ministerie van Financiën visited the Equans BeLux site in Hoboken, Port of Antwerp-Bruges. They received a technical overview of the construction of the topside for our offshore substation Hollandse Kust (west Beta). 🔋🌊   This platform is the third of three offshore transformer platforms being developed by the Equans BeLux/Smulders contractor consortium. Thanks to the standardized design for the 700 MW substations and the application of the knowledge and experience gained so far, we can report that the building is going well. ✅👍🏼 Next spring, the platform will be installed at sea. The platform is located 50 km off the Dutch coast near the village of Egmond aan Zee.
