Earth - the ECO Climate Currency This German non-profit has introduced the ECO, a personal carbon trading system designed to make climate protection accessible and fair for all. By providing citizens with a monthly ecological basic income, the ECO empowers individuals to make climate-conscious choices while holding industry accountable for emissions. With this transformative currency, we can finally compare the climate impact of products and shift towards a sustainable economy. 🥈 1st Runner-Up: SFTec - ModHeat Finish SFTec is tackling waste heat utilization with an innovative drying process that maximizes the potential of underutilized biomass materials. Their solution aims to reduce costs and enhance efficiency in various industries, ultimately driving a circular economy while significantly lowering operational expenses. 🥉 2nd Runner-Up: Terragami - Climate Survivors Austrian-based Terragami is using the power of video games to spread climate awareness. Their project, Climate Survivors, allows players to navigate climate hazards while learning about mitigation and adaptation strategies.
