Japan's startup ecosystem is growing! We were honored to join top finance professionals at Nikkei's Frontiers of International Finance Forum event to discuss the many avenues of opportunity emerging in Japan's financial markets. Masato Kaneda, Operating Officer, Deputy Head of Retail & Business Banking Division at Mizuho, spoke on an insightful panel about initiatives necessary to further progress Japan's startup ecosystem. In Japan, we operate a unique program, "M's Salon," which provides financial and management advice to a network of approximately 5,000 innovative startups and helps connect them with other partners, both large and small. Embracing tradition and supporting craftmanship! In partnership with Tata Trusts, we hosted a recent event to showcase the incredible craftsmanship of silk weavers from Assam. We were pleased to support these weavers with funds to upgrade their looms and work-sheds, resulting in a boost to their production efficiency and quality. Our employees had the unique opportunity to interact with the weavers, learn about their intricate techniques, and purchase exquisite handwoven pieces. Together, we're fostering a sustainable future for these talented artisans. #ThisIsMizuho
