Returning from NYC Climate Week with renewed energy and insights! It was inspiring to share ideas and learn from global leaders in climate finance. Key reflections from my panel: 👩🌾 Small farmers and local communities must be at the center of our efforts - they're the true changemakers on the ground, often overlooked and underrepresented. 🌎 "Translating" between stakeholders is key: we need a "glocal" approach with protocols that work for everyone in the ecosystem, from local communities to global investors. 💡 We need to make investing in nature as simple as traditional asset classes - a vision that drives our work at Violet. 📈 Scaling solutions is crucial, alongside ensuring high integrity and transparency. These discussions reinforced my belief in the potential of innovative finance to transform Brazilian agribusiness into a positive force for climate and communities. The challenge is immense, but so is the opportunity. As we develop Violet's MVP, we're committed to keeping these insights at the forefront of our work. Excited to continue this journey, learning and adapting as we go. Together, we can make a difference! From the 110 proposals received from innovators around the world for this year’s G20 TechSprint, we’ve shortlisted 15 finalists with the greatest potential for solving the three challenges focussed on sustainable finance. The shortlisted teams move on the next phase in which they have to develop solutions based on their submitted proposals. They must submit their prototypes by 4 October and winners will be announced on 27 November.
