The population of Ontario is aging which aligns with global trends. The province’s population of older persons that are 80 years and older is projected to more than double by 2040. Ontario’s long term care awareness day is an opportunity to reflect on the challenges that an aging population and their caregivers will face in coming years. https://lnkd.in/g2buZ4-T At Accreditation Canada, we are dedicated to improving the lives of older persons, their families, caregivers and communities through our work with standards and accreditation. Our Qmentum Global™ for Long-Term Care accreditation program is used by most of Canada’s single service long-term care homes. This accreditation program, which has been developed from the Long-Term Care Services standard, addresses the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality care. This promotes a commitment to the delivery of excellent care experiences, to achieve better health outcomes and quality of life for residents. https://lnkd.in/esNK_hnB Ontario Long Term Care Association
