Founder at AdTribe & Haven | Building a team of world-class media buyers | $90 MM+ in managed ad spend

5 months ago, I spun off Haven from our white-label unit at AdTribe. Today, we’re a fulfillment partner for 16 agencies. Here are 4 reasons I love this business model: 1/ Retention Once agencies experience our media buyers and processes, they don’t look back. We become an extension of their team. Our longest partnership is 7 years—dating back to when I was freelancing. 2/ Sales process Selling to agencies is easier than selling to direct clients. It’s not even “selling.” I hop on a discovery call, connect the agency to my team, and they take it from there. 3/ Quality of clients Agency owners are fantastic salespeople—and that works in our favor. Our biggest accounts come from agencies. One agency’s client spent $700K on Google ads last month alone. 4/ Same vibe Agency owners are just my people. We share the same goals, challenges, and vision. When I’m in their city, we grab lunch or dinner—not as clients, but as friends. It’s a true partnership. TL;DR 1/ Retention 2/ Sales process 3/ Quality of clients 4/ Same vibe If you’re running an agency and want to scale your fulfillment without the freelancer chaos, DM me.

Founder at AdTribe & Haven | Building a team of world-class media buyers | $90 MM+ in managed ad spend

Media buying is simpler than people think. I see it all the time: Media buyers banging their heads against the wall trying to fix performance. - Testing new angles - Tweaking landing pages - Debating ASC+ vs. ABO But sometimes, you need to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Because sometimes, the market is just against you. And no amount of testing will move the needle. Here’s a real example: We have a client in the gifting niche. For months, their campaigns were rock solid—ROAS averaged 2.7, with CPMs around $35. Then mid-November hit. ROAS dropped to 1.1 overnight. What changed? CPMs almost doubled. Presidential election. Black Friday. The holiday ad rush. We could’ve gone into panic mode, scrambling to fix what wasn’t broken. But instead, we took a step back. Rather than waste money fighting a losing battle, we focused on planning for the next big gifting events: Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Sometimes, the best strategy is patience.

Founder at AdTribe & Haven | Building a team of world-class media buyers | $90 MM+ in managed ad spend

We run ads for 80+ clients. Here’s how we’ve structured our team to deliver top performance and accountability: At the top, we have Andrew, our Head of Media Buying. He oversees all 85 accounts, making sure every strategy aligns with client goals and expectations. Next, we have three senior media buyers. Each senior manages a team of three media buyers, forming their own POD. Here’s the best part: Each POD operates like a mini agency within Haven, complete with its own video editor and designer. This structure builds layers of accountability: - Media buyers handle execution and daily tasks. - Senior media buyers refine strategies and maintain quality. - Andrew ensures smooth operations across all accounts. The result? Efficient processes, better creative execution, and happier clients. How do you structure your team?

Founder at AdTribe & Haven | Building a team of world-class media buyers | $90 MM+ in managed ad spend

When I started AdTribe, I learned a hard truth: Full-time media buyers can sink your agency if you’re not careful. Hiring them only works if you can keep them busy—all the time. Most agencies can’t. And that’s why so many bleed money. If your media buyers aren’t operating at 80%+ capacity consistently, full-time hires are a liability. That’s when I discovered white-labeling. Instead of scrambling for direct clients during slow seasons, I partnered with agencies to keep my team busy. It was a game-changer. Fast forward 7 years—our white-label unit now generates more revenue than our direct client work. This success inspired me to launch Haven and double down on this model. Here’s why it works: 1/ Agencies get expert media buying support—when they need it. 2/ We keep our team fully utilized, no matter the season. 3/ Small DTC agencies stay lean while scaling profitably. Haven is built for agencies that want to deliver world-class media buying without the overhead of full-time hires. Do you still hire full-time? Maybe it’s time to rethink that.

We closed 3 returning clients in the last few months. All of them shared the same story: They’ve worked with tons of agencies over the years. But none delivered the way we do. Last week, we signed another returning client. Here’s what he had to say👇
