About us
The APICS BCIT Student chapter is student-run and based on the BCIT Operations management program students. The BCIT Student chapter is affiliated with both the Vancouver and Fraser Valley chapters. The student chapter aims to provide access to real-world business experiences for its members by leveraging the wide array of opportunities made available to the chapter and its members. APICS (originally known as the American Production and Inventory Control Society and is now an acronym for Advancing Productivity, Innovation, and Competitive Success) is the world’s premier professional association for supply chain and operations management. APICS is the global leader and primary information source for topics related to operations management: production, inventory, supply chain, materials management, purchasing and logistics.
