A minerals company embarked on an ambitious project to construct a new tailings dam at a Gold Mine, renowned for its challenging conditions. To manage the high flow rates required over a 1km distance from the plant to the dam, they needed a reliable valve solution capable of maintaining efficiency with minimal pressure drop. The key challenge was to supply knife gate valves that could ensure full continuous flow without causing turbulence or cavitation within the high-pressure slurry pipeline.
